Veteran In Need - Fundraiser

Click Here to Donate Last weekend members and volunteers with the Western NC Chaper of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance met Marine Corps Veteran Mike in Asheville, NC. SDIA WNC was contacted with concerns about the condition of Mikes home. Mike has had no heat this year, has been sleeping on a couch with a light weight fleece blanket.

Mike, also needed some new flooring. Upon the removal of the existing carpet, black mold was discovered. Both his tub and shower has been leaking for sometime. Upon further examination many other issues were discovered that need attention. Our immediate goal is to remediate the mold, and get Mike a bathroom the he can use safely. With future goals this spring to finish the original work planned. Mike is one of four Sheep Dogs in the Western NC area that we are working with.

SDIA WNC is a local chapter of a National organization, that receives no money from federal or state agencies. We are a 100% volunteer organization and our money's come from fundraisers and donations from supporters like you.
